Other Methods to Import Files

To open / import files from your device, navigate to the “Library” tab in the top banner, then find the “Open” button and select it. This will open the importing modal. Here you can drag and drop new files in or click in the dotted rectangle to open your operating system’s file management.

File Formats

Currently the following file formats are possible to upload: SnapGene files (.dna), GenBank files (.gb and. gbk), FASTA (.fa, .fasta and .fna), Geneious files (.geneious), Synthetic Biology Open Language (.sbol) and DNA Electropherogram files (.ab1).

Other Methods to Import Files

It is also possible to simply drag any file from your device into the application to upload it. The file will then be placed in the root.

Note that if you want to paste a sequence remember to use the “New sequence” button located next to the “Open” button.
