Folder Editing Functions

In order to manipulate a folder or its contents, right click on the desired folder. This will display the folder’s dropdown menu where you can choose to copy the folder, add a new pasted sequence to it, add a new subfolder, rename the current folder, delete the folder or share the folder with collaborators.

Expanding and Collapsing Folders

In order to quickly open and close your folder tree, there are two toggles located in the “Library” tab. Find the “Collapse” and “Expand” buttons. If you select expand all folders will be accordioned out (dropped down / expanded). If you then select collapse all folders will again be closed.

Activate Library Split View

In order to quickly manage files and folders across teams, you can use the library split view. Select the “Split view” button in the “Library” tab. Here it is possible to move files from the left team to the team on the right. Simply select the source and destination team and then drag any desired files or folders into the destination team on the right. This will create a copy of the current version of the file in the destination team. The original file remains in the source team and is not affected by edits made on the new copy of the file in the destination team.

Browse and Filter Files in Table View

If you want an overview of all your files, use the “Table” button in the library view. Once selected you will get an overview of all your files (either in your My Files or in a given team that is currently open). The table view displays all of the associated metadata in structured columns with each column representing one metadata point.

For each column you have the option to Hide, Fix to Left or Filter the column. The hide button remove the column from view, the fix to left button move the given column to the left side next to the last fixed column (by default the “File name” column is fixed to the left).

Alternatively, you can hide columns via the “Columns” dropdown button in the “Library” banner; click on the button to open the dropdown, the active columns are indicated with a checkmark, hide files by clicking on them to toggle off the checkmark and hide the column from the table view. To toggle on (un-hide) columns you can also do this via the “Columns” dropdown and select all the columns you wish to add back. Note that by default all columns are toggled on.
