Exporting Sequence Maps

Go to the “Library” or “File” tab in the top banner. The “Export” button in both tabs lets you export the file in “FASTA (.fasta)” or “GenBank (.gb)” formats. In the “Library” export you additionally have the option to export a CSV (.csv) of all the file’s metadata. In the library it is also possible to select and export multiple files at once, these will then be grouped and compressed in a .zip folder. The last option is to select one or more files and right click to get the right click dropdown, here you can select export options as well.

Note when exporting as CSV all associated metadata will be exported. Remember this data can be altered under “View” > “Information” side panel. Also, if you want to see all your files in table format use the table view by navigating to “Library” > “Table”.

Exporting Sequence Maps

To export your sequence map as an image file, first open the file you would like to export and toggle on all the view display settings you would like to see in your final image. Once you have prepared your export navigate to the “File” tab and select the “Export” dropdown. Here you can select between .jpg and .png formats.

If you would like to export a condensed linear map instead of a circular plasmid map, start by either going to the “View” tab in the top banner or enter the “Sequence” view by using the bottom navigation banner. In the view tab select the “Horizontal map” button to preview the map, then navigate back to “File” > “Export” and select your preferred image format. Alternatively, if you are already in sequence view just navigate to “File” > “Export” and start your download.

In summary for image exporting, use the “File” > “Export” dropdown and for file exporting or bulk exporting multiple files use the “Library” > “Export” dropdown.
