To start using the genome browser navigate to the “Genome” tab in the top ribbon. By default the genome browser uses the Human GRCh38 / hg38 genome as the reference genome and loads the Refseq Select and the Refseq Genes tracks.

Loading a Reference Genome

To load a pre-defined reference genome use the dropdown at the top left and select the desired genome from the list. Note that if you would like to use a genome not available on the list, please contact us at info@fearlessleague.com .

Adding Tracks

Once your genome is selected, you can load pre-defined tracks into the workspace. Navigate to the “Tracks” dropdown and select a category “Annotations”, “ENCODE Signals – ChIP”, “ENCODE Signals – Other”, “ENCODE Other”, “4DN tracks” or “GTEx Single Tissue EQTLS”.

After selecting the category, the respective selection modal box will open. Here you can select the desired tracks by clicking on them, the selection is indicated via a checkmark next to the name. It is also possible to search for a specific track using the search bar at the top right of the modal box. Once you have made your selection use the “Add track(s)” button at the bottom right of the modal to add the tracks to your workspace.
