Select a Chromosome or Region
To select a specific chromosome to view, use the dropdown at the top right to select a chromosome.

It is also possible to use genomic coordinates to search for specific regions. Fill in the desired genomic coordinates in the coordinate search bar in the top banner. The format is [ chromosome number : starting base pair – ending base pair ] e.g. for the coordinates chr17:41,195,312-41,278,500 the browser will display chromosome 17 from bp 41195312 to bp 41278500.

Searching for Genes by Name
Please note this feature is only supported for human and mouse genomes.
If you are looking for a specific gene, you can search for it by name using the search feature. Navigate to the “Search” button in the top banner and select it. This will open the search bar. Start typing the gene name and select the desired gene. The browser will navigate you directly to your selected gene.

Viewing Multiple Genes or Regions (Split View)
To split the view into multiple side by side panels and view multiple regions at once, navigate to the coordinate search bar and type in the first set of coordinates or first gene of interests name then separate it with a space and type in the second desired region. Press the enter key on your keyboard and the browser will split into two panels. Note this works for 3 or more panels as well. E.g. the following search will open up three panels with the first panel displaying the DMD gene the second BRCA1 and the third panel chromosome 17 from bp 41195312 to bp 41278500:
DMD BRCA1 chr17:41,195,312-41,278,500

Zoom and Pan
Drag the slider in the top banner or click the minus and plus icons on either side of the slider to zoom in and out. Note the region will be indicated on the chromosome ruler above with a red outline.

You can pan across the chromosome by dragging the red indicator across the ruler. Instead of panning you can also click on the ruler to navigate to that region.
