Transferring Files between Teams

“How do I move files from one team to another?”

Option 1: Drag and Drop in Split View

In order to drag files into or out of your team enter the split screen view, by using the bottom navigation bar and selecting “Split view”.

You will see the current team library open on the left. You can then select a team or your “My Files” inventory on the right side to transfer files out of your team. Once you have selected the destination team drag the desired file from the source library on the left into the destination library on the right.

Note: files can only be transferred from the left library into the right library as indicated by the arrow.

Transferring files between team libraries creates a copy of the file in the destination. The files are not linked and changes in one file will not affect the other.

Option 2: Copy and Pasting Files

It is also possible to transfer files between teams by copy and pasting them via ctrl+c and ctrl+v (on Macs cmd+c and cmd+v) or by right clicking. Select the file you would like to transfer. Press ctrl+c on your keyboard or right click the file and select copy.

Then use the “My Files” dropdown menu at the top left to select and navigate to the destination team. Once in the destination team, press ctrl+v on your keyboard or right click and select paste.

This will create a copy of the file in the destination team library. The files are not linked and changes in one file will not affect the other.
