Importing Files into Teams

“How do I import files into teams?”

Option 1: Import Files from Computer

To open files from your computer in teams, use the “Open” button in the top banner.

This will open the import modal box where you can click to access your computer files or drag and drop files into the box. Currently compatible formats include: .dna, .gb, .gbk, .fa, .fasta, .fna, .genious, .sbol and .ab1

Option 2: Drag and Drop Files Directly

It is also possible to simply drag and drop files directly into the team library

Option 3: Paste in a New Sequence

It is also possible to paste a new sequence directly into your team. For this, navigate to the top banner and select the “New sequence” button.

This will open the “New file” modal box, here you can give the new file a name, select its location and paste in the sequence. You can set the topology of the sequence, selecting between linear or circular and single or double stranded. Finally, you can choose the features detection toggle to have Photo51 detect common plasmid features in your new files.
