Bulk Importing Primers from Library
To start bulk importing navigate to the “PCR” tab in the top banner and select the “Import” button. This will open the “Import primers” modal box. Notice the active tab by default is the “From Library” tab.

Here you can select one or multiple files from which to extract primers to check against the currently open file. After selecting one or more files or folders, you will see an indicator at the button stating the number of primers in the selection you have made. You can then use the “Find primers” to check these primers against the current file. After selecting “Find primers” the primers detected modal will open and allow you which primers to attach to your plasmid. You can select or unselect the primers to keep using the checkboxes next to the primer names on the left side. Once you have made your selection use the “Add to sequence” button to attach the primers to your current file.

Bulk Importing Primers from CSV
It is also possible to import primers to your file from a list or spreadsheet. To start navigate to the “PCR” tab in the top banner and select “Import” this will open the “Import primers” modal box. Once the modal is open navigate to the “Upload CSV” tab. Here you have the option to upload any .csv , .tsv or .txt file of your choice. Either drag the files in or click the box to upload from your device.

Once you have input the file your will get the mapping or parsing modal where you can map which column contains the name and which contains the sequence information. Additionally, you can select which delimiter is used to separate values (semi-colon, comma or tab). After selecting which column is which you will see an example of the first data point in that column so you can confirm you have made the right selection.
In the example below a .txt file was uploaded, which contains semi-colon delimiters, the “Name” column in the file was called PrimerID and the “Sequence” column was called already called Seqeunce. After making the correct selection for the mapping the E.g. shows the expected name and sequence correctly.

Once ready you can use “Parse file” button for the software to extract the primers from your list. You will be notified how many primers were found in your list. If something went wrong and there is an unexpected number of features or you uploaded the wrong file you can always change the file by using the red “Change file” button. When you are satisfied use the “Find primers” button to check if any of these features occur in your current file.

Once the primers have been detected, you will again get the option to select which primers will be added to your final plasmid. Use checkboxes to select and unselect which primers are added. Once you have made your selection use the “Add to sequence” button to attach the primers to your current file.
