Create a New Enzyme List

Navigate to the Enzymes Dropdown

There are two buttons to toggle the display options for enzymes called “Enzymes”. The first is under the “View” tab of the top banner, and the other can be found under the “Enzymes” tab, both of these function identically.

Create a New Enzyme List

Once you have opened the “Enzymes” dropdown, select the “Manage enzymes” option. This will open the “Manage enzymes” modal box.

In the modal you will first see the 5 pre-set enzyme lists (All enzymes, Unique, Dual, Unique & Dual and Type IIS enzymes). These are not editable and will remain locked. Below this list you will see any custom enzymes groups / lists that you have already created.

To start creating your own enzyme group / list, select the “+ Add group” button from the top left, this will take you to the group creation view. Here you can start by giving the group a name, then under “Add enzymes:” you can use the dropdown to search for enzymes to add. Scroll through the dropdown or search results and click on an enzyme to add it to the “Enzymes in this group” list.

Once you have added all the desired enzymes to the group / list, make sure to save the new group / list using the green save button at the top left of the modal. Once the list is saved you will see it added to the enzyme groups with its new name. You can see the number of enzymes in blue next to the group name and when selecting it you get the group overview where you see all the enzymes, their name, number of cuts and the top cut positions. If you would like to edit a group / list, first select it from the left sidebar to open the group overview, then select the “Edit” button from the top left. Alternatively, to delete an existing group / list entirely, again navigate to the group overview and then select the “Delete”. Note that once a custom enzyme group / list has been created it is also available to toggle on and off using the “Enzymes” dropdown and selecting it for display.
